QNC Foundation to Provide PCP Training to LaSalle County Democrats

August 24, 2018

Dani Brzozowski, newly elected County Chair of the LaSalle County Democratic Party has a slew of highly-motivated, enthusiastic new precinct committee persons. She has asked the QNC Foundation to provide a 90-minute training session on building Dynamic Precinct Organizations.

A Saturday workshop will be held on August 25th, 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Carpenter’s Hall in Ottawa, IL. (1001 Boyce Memorial Drive). With so many new people and a busy midterm season, Dani wants to make sure everyone has the tools and resources they need to build relationships in their precincts.

The training will be divided into two sessions: the morning will be led by Larry Quick of the QNC Foundation. After a break for lunch, a Vote Builder training will be conducted by Drew Duzinkas. Drew is Sara Dady’s new field organizer in LaSalle County — he has extensive experience with Vote Builder and has a robust political resume.

Larry Quick is a management consultant, university professor, and a former Democratic Congressional Candidate for the 14th district. Larry is Director of the Quick N Clean Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing about creative democratic transformation. He is also Kane County Chairman of the Illinois Ballot Integrity Project, co-founder of the National Ballot Integrity Project, and serves as an elected precinct committeeperson.

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and come prepared to take notes, ask questions, and leave with new enthusiasm for their role as precinct committeeperson. Volunteerism in this capacity is critical, and the success of the party this fall and beyond will be, in large part, be attributable to the hard work of our precinct committee persons.
