PCP Leadership Academy to be Held on February 2nd, 2019

January 10, 2019

Partnering with the Aurora Township Democrats, the QNC Foundation will be launching its first ever PCP Leadership Academy on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019.

Day 1, of the two-day PCP Leadership Academy, will be held at the IUPAT District Council 30 Campus located at 1905 Sequoia Drive in Aurora, Illinois.

The session will start at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude at 3:00 p.m. with lunch provided.

The two-day PCP Leadership Academy is designed to introduce Precinct Committee Persons to the leadership possibilities of their office.

Topics covered will include basic leadership and management concepts, a brief introduction to quality leadership principles, profound leadership knowledge, building dynamic precinct organizations, designing Progressive Democratic Policies, powerful psychological insights from Carl Jung, dual-level political participation, the rise of women in the Democratic Party, masculine and feminine values, personality type and political party and other topics.

Each day’s activities will include formal presentations, readings from plays, books, folk music, poetry as well as ample time for questions and comments.

The PCP Leadership Academy is very different from traditional PCP training workshops.

It is an educational experience that addresses the questions of why in addition to the questions of how.

Attendance is open to all Kane County PCPs and well as other invited guests.

Day 2 will be scheduled for late summer or early fall, and will conclude with the Mini-Musical “Clean Elections, Clean Government and Cleaning Up a Mess: What I Learned Almost on My Way To Washington”.
